In an emergency, the last thing you want to think about is " how much is this going to cost me? " The North Fork Ambulance Association's EMS Membership program eliminates that worry and gives you and your family the assurance that when you need an ambulance, it will be there and it won't create an extra financial hardhsip on your family.Benefits of Membership...Ambulance transports and pre-hospital emergency care is expensive and ambulance transports in the North Fork Valley are no exception. The average cost of a non-member transport from the North Fork Valley to the Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta is $1,500.00 per patient, per trip. That's quite the expense for a family in today's economy if you aren't expencting the cost . By purchasing a NFAA Household EMS Membership from the North Fork Ambulance Association, you can rest assured that your finances won't be derailed in an emergency. Our Household EMS Membership offers the following benefits:
Why should I purchase an EMS Membership for my house or business? As the only, ambulance service available in the North Fork Valley, the NFAA is responsible for providing Basic Life Support service to a territory in excess of 1500 square miles, encompassing areas within Delta, Montrose and Gunnison counties, three coal mines, the West Elk and Ragged Mountain Ranges, the Black Canyon National Park and everything in-between! That's a service area roughly the size of the state of Rhode Island - not many agencies can say that! Each year, as more people move into or simply visit the North Fork to enjoy its breathtaking beauty, wonderful climate and natural wonders, calls for emergency medical treatment increase. As calls for service increase, additional financial strains are placed on the NFAA, making it difficult for the NFAA to continue providing a high quality service, at low costs, while maintaining state of the art resources and equipment. To accomplish our goals and objectives each year, we rely on the membership dues of households and businesses located within the North Fork Valley. The concept is so simple, some people can't believe it! Become a Member TodayJoin the North Fork Ambulance Association and help keep ambulance costs low for everyone in the North Fork Valley. Think of the North Fork Ambulance as an Emergency Medical Service Cooperative - the more people who pay into the cooperative, the greater the benefit there is for everyone involved. Think you don't need an EMS Membership because you have insurance? Check your policy. Most health insurance companies, especially health insurance plans offered through employers do not cover ambulance transports. This means that when an emergency arises you can be stuck with a $1,500 to $2,000 ambulance bill with no assistance from the insurance company! The NFAA Offers two levels of EMS Memberships.
