The North Fork Ambulance Association is supported entirely by membership dues, not tax revenue. Please purchase your household or business membership today to ensure EMS services continue in the North Fork Valley.

The North Fork Ambulance Association (NFAA) is a 100% volunteer EMS agency supported by membership dues, not tax revenues and has been since its creation in 1969. As the only, ambulance service available in the North Fork Valley, the NFAA is responsible for providing Basic Life Support service to a territory in excess of 1500 square miles, encompassing areas within Delta, Montrose and Gunnison counties, three coal mines, the West Elk and Ragged Mountain Ranges, the Black Canyon National Park and everything in-between!

Each year, as more people move into or simply visit the North Fork to enjoy its breathtaking beauty, wonderful climate and natural wonders, calls for emergency medical treatment increase. As calls for service increase, additional financial strains are placed on the NFAA, as the Association strives to continue providing a high quality service, at low costs, while maintaining state of the art resources and equipment. To accomplish our goals and objectives each year, we rely on the membership dues of households and businesses located within the North Fork Valley. The concept is so simple, some people can't believe it!

Each year by purchasing an Ambulance Association Membership for your household and/or business, you are supporting EMS care in the North Fork, and you ensure that for as many times as you call 911 and request an ambulance at your residence/business, the only cost to you is the yearly membership fee! No catches- simply pay a one time membership fee and get transported to the emergency room as many times as necessary within a year and it won't cost you a penny more!

Now consider the alternative to paying for an Ambulance Membership. The average cost for a non-member transport to Delta County Memorial Hospital is approximately $1,000 per patient, per trip. Save yourself some worry and money and become a member of the NFAA today!

In today’s age of rising health care costs, you can take advantage of an invaluable service while ensuring that this service remains a community-based asset. Since 1969 the residents and the business owners of the North Fork Valley have built the NFAA into the incredible emergency medical service it is today. The NFAA provides a level of care far above that of any proposed tax-based ambulance system for our rural coverage area of 1500 square miles. The financially sound and fiscally responsible NFAA has been building our service and equipment for over forty years. With a fleet of five ambulances and a volunteer staff of 65 people, responding to over 700 calls per year, your North Fork Ambulance Association is dedicated to providing excellent emergency medical care and transport for you and your family.

We urge you to consider how paying the non-member rate for a TRUE MEDICAL EMERGENCY could be devastating to your family budget. Even if you have insurance coverage for ambulance service, your valued support assists in assuring there is no tax assessment on your property for ambulance service, while you benefit from a quality service only a volunteer, non-profit, membership-based service can provide. Your North Fork Ambulance Association is here and ready to assist you and your family!
