Join the American Heart Association & the NFAA in Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of CPR!
The dedicated volunteers of the NFAA would like to encourage everyone in the North Fork Valley to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of CPR by becoming CPR certified. Becoming CPR certified means that you can help save someone's life by delivering early access to CPR prior to EMS arrival, and since literally every minute counts when someone is suffering from a heart attack, we need you- the citizens of the North Fork, to become CPR Certified to help save the lives of your friends, colleagues and family.
According to the American Heart Association, back in 1960, a group of resuscitation pioneers combined mouth-to-mouth breathing with chest compressions to create Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, the lifesaving action we now call “CPR.” This action, when provided immediately after a sudden cardiac arrest, can double – even triple – a victim’s chance of survival.
Join us throughout this anniversary year as we celebrate CPR and the people whose lives it has saved over the last 50 years!
