EMTs- how many Continuing Education (CE) hours do you have to put towards re-certification? The State of Colorado requires 36 hours. As an EMT running with the NFAA, it is your responsibility to attend necessary CE training, or arrange to complete training on your own schedule, to ensure you meet the minimum requirements to be re-certified, and to keep running with the NFAA. As a volunteer EMT with the NFAA, you are provided with monthly CE training at no cost to you, so that you can enhance your skills, and be better prepared for emergencies which may arise.

The monthly CE schedule is listed below. Each month, the topic, location and time will also be announced in an email, posted on the homepage of the web site and included in the monthly issue of Open Airways. Since Continuing Education is such a vital component of EMS training and maintaining your certification, please make every effort possible to attend every CE training event hosted. The CE Committee recently surveyed EMTs in all three communities regarding desired day of the week, week of the month and location for training - the results of that survey are indicated below.
